We programme monthly lunchtime jazz concerts at The Lubetkin Theatre in Peterlee on the first Wednesday of the month, as well as special evening events three times per year in April, June and December.
Our venue is a beautiful modern theatre conveniently located just off the A19 and with ample free parking. Seating is cabaret style for a relaxed, jazz club atmosphere.
There is a Starbucks café on site where you can enjoy a drink and something to eat before or after the concert if you wish, and a fully licensed bar is available at evening concerts.

We want as many families and young people as possible to come along and enjoy this fantastic concert so bring the kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their friends!
Come along to hear 14 piece Jambone, directed by Paul Edis; stunning vocalist Mollie McKeown performing a set inspired by classic female jazz vocalists, and a Joe Pass/ Chet Atkins inspired solo guitar set from one of James Birkett's protege's, Nathan Lawson.
There will also be jazz taster workshops on the day of the concert for young people in the local area to have a go themselves and find out about opportunities for playing jazz.
Jambone Directed by Paul Edis, Jambone is one of the North East's leading youth jazz ensembles. Performing in high profile concerts and events with some of the great jazz artists, Jambone comprises trumpet, trombone, saxophone and flute sections locked together by piano, guitar, bass and drums. Packed full of talented young musicians, in recent years members of the band have taken part in the BBC Young Jazz Musicians of the Year and have featured as part of the BBC Introducing Scheme with a performance on Radio 3. Jambone make regular performances at festivals including the Gateshead International Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Skye Jazz and Swing Festival and at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
Mollie McKeown 21 year old Mollie McKeown is a former East Durham College student and is currently studying music at Sunderland University. She has an exceptional voice which she will be showcasing in a set of songs inspired by classic female jazz vocalists. Mollie will be joined by Craig Glass on guitar, also a former EDC student and currently studying music at Newcastle University.
Nathan Lawson The North East is full of wonderful guitarists taught by the inspirational James Birkett and 17 year old Nathan Lawson is one of the latest of his young proteges! Nathan, who has been attending the Sage Gateshead's Young Musician's Programme since he was 11, will be presenting a solo guitar set inspired by the legendary Joe Pass.
